Hey! I'm totally with you.... I'm taking Gen Chem II to prep for my BSN or MSN (whichever route I take). So if anyone is good @ chemistry, or luvs it, or wants to share their wisdom, plz share!!
Peace,
Sharon
PS This may work better in the student nurse forums, maybe someone could switch it for us? Thanks mods!

When I was in chem...I felt like a downright idiot! In fact, I spent two weeks and got so lost I dropped the class! I felt so horrible!
But then I changed that sitation. I looked carefully at the teachers that taught the class, the passing rates, and spoke to many and found out what teachers taught it in my style of learning! Heck, I am paying for it...might as well be to my expectations!!!! LOL!
I got an awesome chem teacher that did more story telling, more hands on, and less on lectures and assignments that just wound up intimidating me anyway! He also provided a "chem night out" once a week at a coffee shop and believe me...we all went! It was a very informal study group...and vital for me!
I also got the series of books called "Nursing made incredibly easy"...they have most of the subjects you will ever need! These books are written down to earth, funny at times, and great mneumonics to remember things buy! It also brings things into a realistic practical perspective...so much I was going "ohhhhhh now I get it" despite any lectures or other books I read! I should buy stock in these for how many times I suggest them and have people thank me for suggesting them!!!!!!
Good luck, and remember...a mole is a unit of measurement, not an animal...I mean, do you really want to look at a half a mole if it was an animal? LOL (bad chemistry humor!).
