I took a Cardiac quiz three weeks ago. I got a 96, but I should have gotten 100, because the question came from Brunner in regard to Stress test. The book says: the cardiac stress test would be positive is the ST segment is depressed that was my answer. She also had chest pain, which is also in the book. I felt I should have gotten that answer right too, since the book stressed ST segment more than the chest pain for a positive result. I did not complain since I got an A anyway, but I understand your point.
I had a question on my last test that was never covered in class or in any of the reading we had to do for the class. But no one challenged it. We know better because our instructor will not throw out any test questions. Her reasoning is that we're supposed to know it whether she goes over it or not.
That's how our instructor operates. They got a super high pass rate on the last nclex and now it has created a monster. It's about the results and not how they came about getting them.
most nursing instructors are crazy. they just want to get a high percentile of passing the nclex. those who can't do...teach. ignore, things are better after nursing school.

I have 6 weeks left to finish nursing school and I feel that I am going crazy. My instructors are so crazy. We had an exam review last night and I pointed out at least 3 questions & answer that was taken directly from my med surg book, her notes and the evolve website. It was word for word. We got these questions marked wrong, so we were challenging this question and my instructor said "just because it's in the text book, doesn't make it right". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So I asked her, about the content they taught and she couldn't answer me. I am I the only one going through this?
