Stopped me at 115 questions

Published

Hello to all of us hopefuls... and to everyone who's taken their boards.

I have a quick couple of questions, and yes I am waiting patiently for the results.

I have read on so many postings that if you answer the last question right and the test ends early (mine did at 115 questions) that you passed. The trouble is I know I answered it incorrectly.

The other thing I have read is that if your last question was a SATA and regardless of whether you answer it right or wrong, then you pass.

I'm just being hopeful.

Can someone pleeeasse shed a little light on these points?

Thanks and all the best in your studies, careers, etc.

That's all guesswork and hearsay, do the registration trick and see if you get the good screen or the bad, that's the most reliable "trick" I know of, but it's still just an unofficial trick. You won't REALLY know until you pay for the early results or they post your license on your BON website

question 1, answering your last question correctly or incorrectly is not indicitive of a pass or fail

question 2 getting a SATA as your last question does not mean you passed

Wouldn't #2 automatically make #1 untrue, think about it. How can getting your last question wrong be a fail if your last question was a SATA and the 'rumor' is if you get that you passed.. ;)

other myths:

getting a lot of math on your test means you are doing poorly...FALSE

the more SATA you got the better chance you have of passing..FALSE

if you don't get many SATA you failed...FALSE

stopping early mean you passed..FALSE

stopping late means you failed...FALSE

a certain number of testers will get all the questions no matter how well they were doing...FALSE

the quick results are only available monday thru friday...FALSE (they are available on weekends as well)

the quick results are not available on holidays....FALSE

going all the way to the end means you failed..FALSE

stopping at the minimum means you passed...FALSE

honestly i learned not to listen or pay attention to all those myths and rumors about the test. i passed @110 questions (i thought i failed cause i never heard of anybody stopping @110). i was so scared when i first took it because everybody had something different to say about the test. and the more i heard stuff the more anxious i got. instead right after i took my test whether i passed or failed i went home and saw game of thrones:laugh: hahaha. and waited for two days without even doing the trick. it sucks to wait … as patiently as you are…but my best advice is to ignore everything you've ever heard. and just know you tried your best and that you gave it your best shot. just stay positive. be confident. and i am sure you passed !!! if you really want to know just pay the fee for early results. ;)

As long as I've been doing this with NCLEX candidates, I'm STILL surprised at the number of new myths that arise. Even as old ones are dispelled, people come up with new lies to share with their friends. And, after all, they ARE lies, as there is nothing anywhere that states as truth what people make up and tell other people.

Some friends!
