Hi everyone!! I decided I should start a thread for this year’s applicants so we can keep each other updated and answer questions.

    Can anyone call SB and ask what’s going on? Everyone here so anxious... lol. I’m working right now and can’t call. I’m with a patient at bedside but I secretly checking my email every five minutes ?. I wish we could all get in

    I called the administration at SBSON. They don't really tell you much. The girl who answered the phone just said to keep an eye on your email. All contact will be via email. I asked her, can you please tell me where they are in the process? as in are they done reviewing or still reviewing the application? She's like we can't really say anything about that.

    Are interviews the next step? I know interviews are required for the accelerated program, but wasn't sure if they are required for the basic baccalaureate?

    Yes, interviews are required for both the accelerated and the basic programs.

    Dunno how many of you are part of the Pre-Nursing Society at Stony Brook, but apparently so many people have been asking the e-board members about what the heck’s going on with the interview requests that they acknowledged in a mass email that they’re not involved in the decision-making process and have no idea themselves when emails are expected to go out. Crazy how anxious everyone is! Hopefully we hear back soon.
