Sep 2, 20196 yr Hi everyone!! I decided I should start a thread for this year’s applicants so we can keep each other updated and answer questions. I applied last year as well and was waitlisted, so if you have any questions I’d be happy to help! Good luck everyone!!
Feb 3, 20206 yr I also think the time frame is very sudden! We’re moving to Long Island this summer so I’d have to make a last minute trip from Virginia and that’s hardly a week’s notice!
Feb 3, 20206 yr One other thing.. that schedule that was shared only has 28 slots! I’m thinking they need a bigger schedule to accommodate more interviews!

Feb 4, 20206 yr You get to pick which date and time from their slots. When a job calls you for an interview basically you have a few days to prepare. This is a nursing school interview and you should be prepared. We applied months ago and have had plenty of time to prepare ourselves for it. Don't forget you must take a math test and write an essay after your interview. no calculators and timed tests. Good luck!!

They do not change their times or dates to accommodate anyone. these are their policies, regardless if you are out of state applicant.
Feb 4, 20206 yr Thanks for the feedback, didn’t mean to ruffle any feathers with my nervousness. I’m well aware I will have to accommodate to their schedule. Just merely pointing out that less than a week is sudden! If I have a request, I’ll be there.
Feb 4, 20206 yr Hi, I also don’t think we should harass each other. We are all soon to be nurses we should be kind and understanding. We are all nervous and stress out and that’s super understandable. But we should also just consider that we all worked hard to be here and we should look at others with helping hands not this type of feed back when someone is concerned like this. I am a long time watcher and had to speak up. I’m sure the Stony Brook will accommodate who ever needs it because they were chosen. Just talk to them. However if not you solve the problem. I work at stony brook.. they are family to me. I think we should all just be supportive. Hopefully today’s the day! Good luck to everyone!!! Remember to self care and you will land wherever you are made to land on! ?I have made a mistake take out the the in front of stony brook* thank you for understanding. Have a great day everyone
Feb 4, 20206 yr I just got an email for an interview notice!! I hope that you all get one soon too ??
