STNA classes in Cincinnati?

I'm looking for any STNA classes in the Cincinnati and any surrounding area's. Any reply would be greatly appreciated! Thankyou!

Try looking at nursing homes that you are interested in working at.... many of them offer the classes or know of places offereing classes, and many will pay for the class too!

Check with Deaconess Hospital. Great place to work! I am an LPN on the ortho unit.

Also, seems Cincinnati State College offers a course as well as one of the Oaks (don't know which one.)

I'm taking the STNA class @ cinn ST. you have a choice 8-4:30 for two weeks or the 4 1/2 hours twice a week for about two months but those classes fill up fast as all cinn st sudents in the nursing program have to be a STNA. ALSO you have to have a 2 step ppd done and a minor physical. classes for next term start around apr 18th.I'm starting in May for tweeks plus I have 9 cr hours at night :uhoh21:

I am also a student a C-state, I took the CNA course there too, if you can and have time I reccomend the whole quarter class as you have more time work on your skills and what not! My teacher was great and I had a great experience!

I recently applied to good sam/bethesda north and Jewish to be a PCA which is simialar to a STNA, they all said nearly the same thing: if you have a hs diploma and they hire you to be a pca they will train you, they send you to their class which is 4-6 weeks and then you are eligible to take the state test to become an STNA! but you have to work at that hospital. Also like someone else said nursing homes will often train you and yes deaconess also has an STNA program! Threre are also other little places you can take the course but they cost a good chunk of money!

Any ppl from CINCY plse email me! im always looking for new friends in the area as im newly relocated from Columbus (originally from cincy, moved away for college and now im back!) anyway most of my hs friends have moved away and my college friends are back in cbus and scattered around the US! its good to know there are others out there going through the same thing i am! :rotfl:
