Has anyone heard from College of the Redwoods?
Their deadline for applications was way back on February 9th! I know they received mine on the 6th ( I now love those return receipt thingies!) I have heard nothing at all from them...so frustrating.
I am also waiting to hear from Sierra (third try), ARC(first try) and SCC (first try). Can I say UGH!?
I am on Cabrillo's waiting list #392, and I am on Shasta's waiting list as well (about #154). At this point I don't know what else to do. I guess I have shown the world that I am nothing but patient.:uhoh3:

I can totally relate to your frustration!
I didn't apply to the college of the redwoods but I did apply to the other schools.
ARC (my 4th try) had 862 applicants this semester and they screen each application to ensure that they are eligible before they do the lotto. With that many applicants it could be a few more weeks.
SCC (my 3rd try) is really quick at getting the lotto done, I don't think that they screen all the apps before doing the lotto so I always find out from them 1st. I would think they would be sending out the letters this week or next week for sure.
Sierra (my 3rd try) always takes forever! They are such a small school and they only have 1 lady that processes the applications so it takes the full 8 weeks to get the denial letter. If you hear before then it will generally be good news.
I wish you the best of luck and I really hope that you get the acceptance letter this time. I have been applying for 2 years now and I am still waiting for mine!
Last semester I got on the waitlist for Yuba City and there are 257 people in front of me and I should be accepted by fall '09.
Again I am crossing my fingers for you!!!

I didn't apply to any of those schools, just wanted to extend my sympathy for the wait! It is so awful and torturous. I found the closer I got, the harder it became and I was really surprised at the level of my impatience and anxiety. I wish you well and hope you get your good news soon!

Ugh is right! This is my second semester applying to ARC, SCC, & Sierra. It doesn't look hopeful for me since people have already heard from SCC & ARC (that I know of). I'm plugging away at all I can until the time comes! I am hoping to get on at a local hospital and work as a CNA while I continue to further my education:typing Though it wold be nice to fell like all this work is getting me somewhere!
Best of luck to you as well!

I think that is a great idea! I have spent the last 4 semesters taking classes like Medical Terminology, Medical Dosage and Pharmacology. I also tutored Anatomy and Physiology students for 3 semesters to make sure I would not forget the inportant information that I spent hours upon hours to understand! It was all worth it too, I really like to tutor people. I helps me to re-enforce the information.
Stay motivated to learn, spend your time wisely and plan accordingly for the future.

Well, I found out yesterday that I didn't get into the RN at Sierra. There were something like almost 500 applicants in the lottery this time, and my name didn't get picked. Anyway, I am still waiting to hear if I get into the LVN at Sierra. I expect to hear this week most likely. Has anyone recieved an acceptance letter from the LVN wait list at Yuba College? I am waiting to hear if I get in this time around. My friend who is in the program heard around this time when she got in, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed. I am having an anxiety attack everytime the mailman gets here.
