Still having problems communicating with my mentor

It's been over two weeks and my mentor and I have only spoken one time on the phone. The scheduled 2nd call, somehow she forgot to call me. Anyone know how I can request another mentor? Thanks in advance!

You can but sometimes people make mistakes. Why not give the mentor another chance? You'd want one, right?

Do you feel like you're needing her help right now?

She hasn't approved my courses for enrollment yet. I feel like she is not a good fit for me since she only has hours during my work schedule. She told me I'd need my computer for this next call too, so it's not just a quick "how are things going". I am not permitted to have my cellphone at work. I can bring it out at lunch, which is not usually a scheduled time, but my work is trying to work with me on that for these calls. I have also emailed her 3 times responding to her when a good time for our next scheduled call and she hasn't written back. This was 2 days ago. I just don't think I should have to bend over backwards to work in her call, when I'm paying thousands of dollars to this school.

I would like to say that the time we did talk I thought she was very nice and left me feeling confident that I can do this (go to school). I also want to say that I don't want to transfer to another advisor because of one mistake, it's just that our schedules don't work together.

I think that is totally legitimate. I would request a different mentor, citing scheduling conflicts.

In the three weeks your courses have gone unapproved for enrollment, you could have completed a course by now. Time is money when you're attending WGU. I agree you need a new mentor who maintains late hours.

Turns out she had a death in the family. We were able to talk on Thursday during my lunch. So glad that is done. Thanks everyone!
