Still looking...

Published

I have been looking for another job in nursing and I cant find anything. I want to get away from pt. care, I really enjoy the business side of nursing, but have found nothing. Does anyone know where else I should look or the names of some positions? i have looked on all the career websites, googled, called career services at my alma mater, and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated!

Try hospital websites, I've seen admin positions sometimes posted - Also, check with your human resources/nursing office - they may be able to guide you; if not in your hospital, then perhaps visit the hospital of your choice and check with their dept.

I strongly agree with this post. What types of jobs are you looking for and what are your qualifications for such a job?

Getting the "right" education and experience sometimes puts you in a position to link up with job opportunities. It's another aspect of "networking."

Thanks everyone for your replies. I have a BSN that I got in Dec. 07. I am just very unhappy at my current position, and know I want to get out of pt. care. I have called both HR departments at the local hospitals and both seemed not interested in helping. I currently work on a L&D floor and dread going to work - i like the people i work with, i just know it isnt for me and its getting very frustrating. I have spent hours on the internet looking for jobs, called career services both at my school and public companies (they told me they dont deal with health professions, so they couldn't really help me) and looked in the paper. Any ideas of what im doing wrong?
