Statistics..... Ouch

Thought when I graduated from my BSN I had kissed that miserable part of my life goodbye.

Hello again statistics, you shiesty bastahd.....

Anyone particularly GOOD at statistics concepts?

LOL I feel your pain. I had to have 3 hrs Stats for admission to BSN... 3 hrs in my BSN (research methods) ... 6 hrs for MSN .... and (wait for it ...) another 9 hrs for doctorate. The light at the end of the rainbow? The farther you go, the less actual "math" you have to deal with. Higher level courses tend to be focused on choosing the right methods and interpreting the data correctly.

True story - my first Stats course (back when the Earth's crust was still cooling) was taught by a very highly qualified gentleman from Taiwan (heavy accent) who forbid us from using calculators. He only allowed slide rules. You wanna experience brain pain? Try extracting cube roots manually. Adding to the pain were the numerous Iranian students (pre Shah ouster) who could do all the heavy math stuff in their heads. ... yeesh. I survived, you can too. :up:

Oh my god, you hit me right in the feels with that post. I could not even imagine trying to tackle that without a calculator. Holy cow that had to have been frustrating!
