Does anyone know where I can find State Surveys of LTC facilities and the like in Maryland online?

Thanks

Hi:

I don't know if state surveys vary from state to state, but in my state, the most recent survey must be posted where it is easily available to anyone who wants to see it. It just makes sense to me. Like you are looking for a place for a loved one. Also in this state, you can also go to your local state Health Department. These surveys are public record. Good luck. I have even found some things on the web by posting the name and state to get information. There is also a site called the "National Watch List" that is available for really serious concerns, such as "causing actual harm to residents." And you can't get more public than that!

The facility I'm looking for is assisted living but at the door theres a sign saying "2006 State Survey available upon request" but right now as a nurse who's worked there for 2 months (and the one who has been working there the longest:uhoh3:) I have no idea where this state survey is kept. I was told by someone at the sister facility the past 2 years have had bad surveys

Long term care facility surveys are available on the medicare nursing home compare site, but I don't know if this will also include ALF's.

Try http://www.medicare.gov, then look for nursing home compare.

If you can't find it, I would ask the administrator for it. You should have the answer to this question in case a surveyor comes in and asks for this.

I would but as a new nurse, 2 months into my career (just got my LPN license in January, started working in May due to school and have only worked at this facility for two months...) the DON, ADON and Administrator have been fired/forced to resign. The new DON just started last Monday, they dont want an ADON anymore and the new Administrator has never worked in healthcare before and doesnt start for a couple more weeks. :uhoh3:
