Everyone I have waited so long for me to get to this point. It may seem like wow its just your CNA but it means so much more to me. This will be the first step in securing my future goal of becoming a RN. I keep thinking one step at a time and in the end I will be looking at my badge with my name and RN after it. So please keep me in your prays as I take my state exam this friday. I wasnt nervous at the thought of it but now its getting to me a bit, lol. I'll keep everyone posted on my results! Thanks!

Try not to worry. I was so keyed up for my certification exam, I didn't sleep the night before.
Remember, there is a time frame to complete skills. Don't look at it like a time limit. During one of my skills evaluations, I stopped and said to the examiner I needed so start over. I realized I left out an important step. The examiner said "You have more than half of your allotted time left, tell me when you are sure you are done."
I repeated that skill slowly and deliberately. I passed.
Take your time, start over if necessary. Trust your training and listen to your conscience.
Good Luck!

thanks everyone for your words of encouragment. i have great news i passed!:wink2: i stayed up all night as well nervous about what was to come. i had to take my skills test first which i wasn't as comfortable with. the five skills i had was denture care, blood pressure, dressing a resident, ambulatory and weighting, and hand washing. i was so nervous when i did blood pressure that i had did it 3 times. the person i had did it on was the examiners 12 yr old grandson. so it was hard to find his brachial pulse. since his arm was small. also the first time i couldnt hear through the stethoscope since i had them in my ear the wrong way. i was really nervous for some odd reason. but, i passed all five of my skills not leaving anything out.
on the written exam i got a 80% which i thought i had did better but still not bad for no sleep and a nervous shake, lol. once again thanks you everyone. so now i'm a cna !!!!
