I finished 3 semesters of nursing school and had to take my 4th semester off due to financial difficulties (my husband was laid off). I have now been out out of the program for 2 full semesters and am wanting to return. My school is wanting me to take an exam to see if I can be readmitted ..if I pass I can start at 3rd semester (I've already passed 3rd....) if I don't score high enough I have to start at semester 1 again..
My options are return to this school (ADN) for possibly another 1-2 years to get my ADN after already spending 3 semesters there OR there is an accelerated BSN program an hour from my house...I would have to start over from scratch there..but its only 12 months and I come out with a BSN. It is very $$ though 38,000 for the 12 months...I'm already have 15000 in student loans. I'm also a mom of 3 small kids so the ABSN is going to be rough.
I'm leaning towards the ABSN but wanted to see what others think is the smartest route.
Thank you

If you are able, ABSN is by FAR your best choice. Just make sure you mentally and physically prepare yourself for the rigor of the ABSN. GL
