3. Please do not give out personal identifying information about yourself or others. Do not name names where anyone could identify any person in any facility including your nursing programs or place of employment.

Thank you for your understanding.

I didn’t think we were violating terms of service by posting the names of the admissions contacts for the school? Their names and emails are public information and on the website for the school. If I’m wrong, please let me know, because in the 2-3 years I’ve posted about applications and admissions, I’ve never had this be a problem. Thanks in advance for clearing this up for us. ?

Wow I feel bad ! Did realize that we couldn’t put names . But good thing we were notified. As far as I know I had to send my transcripts directly to NursingCAS. And as far as then GPA I didn’t see 60 unit gpa in my application. I’ll check again. Thanks for emailing and asking questions!

Thank you for the question, MamaKat916.

It is not allowed.

We have had several from the school programs contact us in the past about this. This has been addressed in our Terms of Service for years. Of course, we know posts can get by undetected. The membership is good about reporting the violation so Staff can make the necessary edits.

She also said pass/fails we’re not calculated AT ALL, so whoever in the BSN forum said they calculate them as B’s must have heard that from someone else?

I didn’t say NursingCAS calculated pass/fails as B’s - that is what appears on my transcript from the school where they were taken. So they’re basically disregarding my grades to do whatever they want which isn’t fair. Every other school accepts them as B’s because that’s what my transcript says.

Thanks for the information and my apologies! Will not happen again ! ?

well I just checked and I couldn't find my last 60 unit GPA on my application. This is what happened to me last time so I just emailed them to find out. Maybe NursingCas does calculate it for us and just hands over the information to the school directly? IDK... All we can do now is trust the process and cross our fingers. We are all great candidates and have much of offer.

@Lety86 I don’t think NursingCAS gives a last 60 GPA to us, but a lot of people are using their post-baccalaureate GPA that is calculated by Nursing CAS. Or, maybe they are doing the calculations on their own? But I know that NursingCAS has not updated my post-baccalaureate GPA on my rolled-over application. So if I have to go round 4, I won’t roll over again. I’ll submit a completely new one with all new transcripts to be sure I’m getting credit that I earned. Also, the “Oakland Lady Who Shall Remain Nameless” told me that they recommend that applicants have minimum 3.4 in both sets of GPA’s. So I want to be sure I get every point I should have. ☹️

@MamaKat916 I’m not sure how it all works! ?. My post-baccalaureate GPA was higher than the GPA SMU gave me for my 60units, so idk! I wouldn’t stress out too much ! We both have seen applicants get in with lower scores/GPAs. I really do think SMU looks at the whole package and not just GPAs. All you can do is your best! Just keep improving what can. Have you tried calling NursingCAS? Maybe they didn’t receive your updated transcripts?
