2020 Spring SMU ABSN program

I'm really trying not to dwell too much on it though; after going through the ELMSN thread, I saw someone who didn't get the initial "acceptance" when everyone was logging in, but did later in the evening. I doubt they've sent out the final rounds for accepting applicants in one evening! Especially since they tend to send out emails/notifications in various waves.

For those of you that say it's still being review, does it show a whole list of things when you click on the checklist?

That looks like an acceptance! My previous applications showed “you have been waitlisted”. You’re in!! congrats!!

@Jennywho did you click on the checklist tab? That’s where you’d see the individual applications and their status listed. Otherwise, the first page just says Congratulations as a generic greeting. Be sure you go into Checklist and search for the Spring 2020 application.

@aswiz last year there was a group that received acceptances, then a group of waitlists and denials followed by another group of acceptances. So don’t lose hope!

Lol, thank you for weighing in! This whole process seems to be very unpredictable, so I'm trying to save my energy/anxiety for when I will actually need it.

Have you seen other folks with letters that say the application is still being reviewed, rather than telling you that you've been accepted?

That is the generic, “congratulations” page when you first go to the portal page. You need to log in using your nursingCAS email and password and then click on Checklist. It’ll show the application period and will say “being reviewed” “accepted” or “waitlisted”.

Ok so exactly what are we supposed to put in our letter of intent? Do we just state that we accept?
