My journey started from cna, lpn now,I applied for spring 2018 nursing bridge program. I am looking forward to what it has to offer and the challenges ahead. Anything is possible if you work hard and be persistence in reaching every goal you set for yourself. Always keep a positive mind.

Has anyone received a rejection letter

People in the second wave have until the 8th to accept or decline their seats so it'll probably be sent out after that if all the seats are full.

What is the Baptist scholarship I keep hearing about it how do I go if I qualify for it?

@nanalove from what I've heard... the baptist scholarship pays for school in return of a 4 year contract with them after you graduate. The requirements are 3.0 gpa, completed prereqs, acceptance into a nursing program, and eligible to work in the US. If you've gone to submit your acceptance at dade then the advisor should have told you if you are eligible for scholarships or not. There are pros and cons to this scholarship, it just depends on the person.

@gabym thanks for the information I haven't spoken to any advisor yet but I will definitely look into it.

Yes! See you there @samllu

To those considering the Baptist Scholarship, have you guys completed all the required classes to be eligible for the scholarship? The advisor I spoke to when I paid for my seat said I was still missing the class, "Intro to Sociology". I might have to take the online class in a mini session if it's possible, but at the same time I don't want to pay for another class if it won't make me eligible.. is anyone on the same boat?

I am!!

Yes! She told me the same. Said I could take the CLEP for it if I didn't want to take the class. I'm curious if we just need to have the class finished by the time we graduate or before we even start the nursing program?

I was thinking the same thing. On Tuesday I'll definitely be asking an advisor for more information about the class.

I thought I was the only one! Glad to know that I'm not alone :)

Still haven't seen a whatsapp for the generic full time at the medical campus so I'll make one. Email or text me your numbers 954-235-2205 [email protected]

Yup! I'm currently taking micro lab and intro to sociology which I finish in mid December. I've tried calling Baptist but they always give me a vague answer as to whether or not they'll wait for you to complete those pre-reqs or not. The only thing that I've been able to get out of them is that they want a cohort for January, so hopefully they let those that are currently taking classes apply!
