What type of program are you trying to get into? ADN or BSN? Your sciences are clearly strong grades so that is a plus. Also, how old are your C grades? If older than your sciences and you can demonstrate your improvement over time, that is also a plus. Of course, grades are one part of the admissions puzzle. Your CNA experience is good for your profile, and if you can get some good recommendation letters, good as well!

I just got into the RN program, at my school it is all based on GPA and whether or not the science classes where taken within the last 5 years. The lowest grade point average they took was a 3.5 and they only accept 72 students per semester, mine was a 3.78 and I was very worried as to whether or not I would be accepted only because my school is extremely competitive. So depending on what type of program you are trying to get into and how competitive the program is, will determine whether or not your GPA is high enough, I would suggest you speak with an adviser at your school and preferably in the department of the curriculum that you are trying to get into, they will guide you and give you their suggestions as to what you need to do. Your science classes look great and of course they are the harder classes so that may work to your benefit. Best of Luck to you! :)

I attend a community college, and am enrolled in a two-year ADN program. At my school, admission to the nursing program is based on three criteria:
1. Your grades in basic Psych, English 1, and the better grade out of both A&P classes
2. The number of non-nursing hours out of the required 31 that you have completed
3. Your score on the reading portion of the HESI
Each category is worth up to 4 points, and I think the cutoff for my class was 11.10 out of 12. You need to see what the exact criteria is at your school for admission, because every school is different. Good luck!

Consider repeating the English101 course if it is allowed by the programs you are considering entering. Other than that, can't really see much you can do to improve matters. Of course, it goes without saying, that you should apply to as many programs as possible. Good luck.
thank you all! i will repeat my english 101 class, and i'm aiming for the BSN program. i'm really going to try to get a 3.3, if possible. my advisor says it is if i take a few more classes. again, thanks. :)
You might find this helpful, it calculates how many more credits and grades you need to achieve a certain GPA, using several scenarios.
