Hi there,
I am currently a nurse in Singapore. Had a Diploma and work locally as a Med paed Nurse.
Have heard of agents like O'grady peyton. And thinking of going to US to work... I know that working there need to pass NCLEX and TOFEL.
But I am wondering whether u guys can give me some advises on the followings:
1) what is the working standard in US?
2) what is the pay like in US?
3) Is NCLEX recognise in everywhere?
4) Is there any recommended unversity in US in NursIng?
5) What is the living standard in US?
:roll
PS: if more advises, u want to share pls do so.... really Troubled:confused:

To answer some of your questions, NCLEX is the test to get your RN but you need a individual license for whatever state you choose to work in. I am not sure what you mean by working standard, you have many options full time is 36-40 hours/week. There are part time, perdiem, agency jobs available too. Pay depends on location, it varies from state to state. As far as Universities, there are numerous ones in each state. You need to decide where you want to live and write to that State Board of Nursing with your questions and they can give you the advise you need to get a license in that state. Good luck to you.
