Hello my name is Helena.

Me and my family have won the green card(We will get the green and the social security number in half a year) and we're planning to move to Minnesota from Israel.

I am a Registered nurse in Israel.

My question is can I take the ENCLEX exam without a English exam?

Also what is the fastest way to become a Registered nurse in the U.S?

And threw what board?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

There is no fast way to become a nurse in the US. You need to apply to the state and meet their requirements for foreign trained nurse and sit and pass NCLEX. You can start the process before you move to the US. If the state requires English exam then you will need to do it and you will also find having good English skills will assist you in getting work. More than likely employers will want to see good English skills. Also looking at the Minnesota website you need to take and pass CGFNS exam https://www.revisor.leg.state.mn.us/rules/?id=6305.0400

You may also need to contact them and see what requirements are for a foreign trained nurse that has obtained license in another state as you may still be required to meet same requirements as if applying direct

Congrats on getting a GC

Congratulations on winning the green card lottery. I have worked with nurses from Israel they have had an easy time adapting to US nursing. Sliverdragon is correct you must follow all the procedures. Best of luck.

While you are waiting for NCLEX eligibility you may want to take a position at a local hospital as a ward secretary or CNA so you can learn the ropes and make your transition to RN easier.
