Hello to everyone,

I am a new CNA and I have a very hard time dealing with any bm. I do not have any kids and it grosses me out, makes me want to gag. Any help would be appreciated.

That's some good stuff when encountering some icky smells. I started using that 20 years ago, and it's never failed me.

Sometimes I try to focus on a certain point in the room, or something on the patient - the iv site, ect.
I think you're on to something with that. I know that for myself, looking at the poop makes the smell much more pungent to me whereas it fades into the background some if I can relax and really focus on something else (even as my hands are doing the dirty deed).
