I am second bachelors student. I feel like I am not competitive for this school but I tried anyway. if I don't get in, I might come back after completing my ADN and apply for their RN-BSN. But I will see.

Good luck! I feel like I’m not either. My GPA is a 3.67 and my TEAS is an 88.7%. You will get in somewhere it’s just a matter of time. I’ve been getting rejections left and right and it’s rough

My GPA should be somewhere around that as well, if not lower. I have gone to technically 4 institutions so it's hard to determine that at this point LOL. But thanks for your positivity. I got a 92 on my TEAS, I might retake it but at this point, I might settle for an ADN degree. So far, I have gotten into San Joaquin Delta for Spring, so I recommend that college since it seems like our stats are not far off.

I am probably going to move over there depending how promising the program sounds. A lot of things are up in their bc covid. so IDK.

I have applied to EVC as well and im awaiting their response too.

I think that at the end of the day, as long as you are licensed you should be fine and then you can try to get your BSN after.. so you should consider ADN programs as well if you haven't yet.

Hi,

I used to go to Delta College in Stockton and even though it had a bad reputation because of the retention rate and transfer rate. I always heard good things about their nursing program. It was quite competitive so if you got in that's awesome!! I remember one of my friend's ended up applying to the ADN program in Sac City instead because he could not get into the Delta Nursing program.

Also, if you already have your Bachelors you should try Samuel Merritt's ABSN program. The cost is high but I've heard it has a good reputation in the Bay Area and most students are able to pay off their debt with no problem. Or you can look into San Francisco State's San Mateo extension ABSN program. Is 15 months and is half the cost of SMU. Good luck!

Ya I have considered ADN programs and I think I’ll look into them more. SJSU is just so ideal

location wise for a BSN so I wouldn’t have to spend a ton to relocate

HI!! Thats good to know, I don't know anything about that college, but I am glad I applied. I have been meaning to talk to someone who has completed the nursing program there to get a bit more insight. The only way I will go is if I get into their "fast track" program. Otherwise, I will wait on EVC and other Fall programs.

Samuel merrit and ABSN programs overall are amazing but I don't qualify for federal student aid so I can't qualify for those loans. otherwise, I would do it.

I am considering San Mateo and they have a conjoined program with SFSU so you complete both ADN and BSN in 2.5 years.

But thank you for the info! I will keep in mind if I don't get in anywhere else.

Hopefully I get a miracle and get into SJSU though LOL.. but good luck to you too!!

Congrats!! Im super excited to meet you ? Would you guys be interested in creating a group chat for this cohort?

Also, do you guys know if we send 100$ or 75$ with the response forms? The provisional letter says 100, but the response form itself says 75.
