Sitting in class right now....

And my instructor is driving me nuts! We are discussing eye anatomy and she keeps saying some people might be candidates for Lasix.

No, dear, they might be candidates for Lasik surgery.

Lasix is that drug that makes you pee.

Okay just so I add something positive....

First, I got my ass kicked by a fluids and electrolytes quiz tonight, but I still passed it.

Second, I talked to some classmates about their clinical sites and instructors and realized how blessed I am in the placement I got. It wasn't my first choice because of location, but apparently from the stories I heard tonight, I lucked out with both the instructor and the staff at the facility.

I bet that's a huge relief! My maternity semester, I landed the exact placement that I wanted. But the hours were evenings, plus it was an hour away. Between paying a sitter and paying for gas, I realized I wouldn't be able to do it. I felt pretty shattered over it. Maternity was my love, my reason for going into nursing. It all ended up as it needed to in the end, so ultimately I made out better. I'm happy to not deal with the uncertainty of clinical placements anymore, though!
