So I'm graduating in august and from then up til the first available day to take the nclex I will be studying for nclex but I'm iffy on if I should take a review course or not.. I'm literally dead broke and all of the review classes are 300 - 400 bucks. Has anyone studied on their own and passed if so what did u do to study?? Also my school uses ATI and according to the rn predictor test I have a 92% chance of passing the nclex HELP !!!

I think you can pass without a review course, as I have read stories on here of it happening. Do you have any NCLEX materials? I am not familiar with ATI - but if you still have access to it, you might want to continue working with it.
My biggest advice is to do questions, questions, questions. But do so smartly! Read all of the rationales- even for right answers. This will provide you with new information. Make sure that you also practice doing 75 on up to 265 questions in a test like setting. No phone, no getting up for a snack, no texting. This will help with endurance.

One of my friends who took Hurst review course says it's word to word with Cram book. Don't throw your money away! Study on your own and answer as many questions as you can. Try to read Kaplan 2012-2013 and Saunders Strategy Books from the library. It is more then plenty for strategy review. What is worth it - is only Kaplan QBank for $90.00. ATI is excellent too!
Wish you the best!

Very few people in my class took a review course. All of us that have taken it thus far passed.
Personally, I don't think review courses are a must but it depends on whether or not you feel prepared.

I took the hurst review, which I thought was great.
I also did the NCSBN program online which is only 50$. You may want to look into that. I thought it was helpful.

I used hurst review to get familiar with the content. I can say that if you really feel confident with content and you have a study method that works without using a review course then go for it! But if you are at all worried that you need a refresher and a good method of studying I would use Hurst. You will never regret studying and if you think about it it costs around 200 and to retake the test and Hurst is 300. Plus if you fail Hurst will give you the money back. So just think about it...
I didn't take a review class. My point was, most people in the class did not take a review class and still passed..
