Should I contact them?

The nursing school I applied to several weeks ago said it takes 30 days to get back for their decision on a students acceptance. It has been close to 30 days. I contacted them 3 weeks into the process and they said I should hear something within a few weeks. Should I contact them again about my acceptance? Thanks.

Due to the nursing shortage there are more & more people going to school for nursing. I would wait it out for a little longer...even if you do get accepted you probably won't start for a couple semesters at least. I didn't hear back about acceptance for almost 6 weeks and didn't start the program for 2 semesters after that. Be patient....good things come to those who wait

I'd wait a while longer, probably 30 days +1 week for the mail. Waiting is horrible. My school said they sent letters 4-8 weeks after application, and my acceptance took 9 weeks. I did contact them after about 7 or so weeks (she originally emailed me saying it was 4-6 weeks, the website said 6-8), but I know my application wasn't as cut-and-dry as some are. I was going to start applying to other schools the week that letter came (was getting recommendation letters squared away).

Give them time. You're luckhy they are sendin the letter to you so quickly. I applied to schools in February and they didn't get back to me until April. The school I got into put me on a wait list and I didn't get my official you're in letter until June.

It's a hard long wait.

Speaking as an educator, I can tell you that we have tons of applications to weed through and process and consider, so that takes time. We usually have between 150 and 200 applications for 60 seats. That's alot of GPA calculating and ranking and considering. Factor in the other responsibilities of staff, vacations and time off, and other emergencies, and it takes a good 4-6 weeks.

So, I'd be patient. If you submitted an application, you will get a reply, either way.
