What is the biggest piece of advice you have for nursing students? Any advice is welcome to make me a better nurse. Thanks!

The nursing school I applied to several weeks ago said it takes 30 days to get back for their decision on a students acceptance. It has been close to 30 days. I contacted them 3 weeks into the process and they said I should hear something within a few weeks. Should I contact them again about my acceptance? Thanks.

I know you're trying to be helpful but organic and inorganic chemistry is not a pre-requisite of nursing school. Med school..yes.

When people say ADN schools look at math and science grades, what classes are they talking about? This school I'm applying to requires only pre-algebra. I have algebra and statistics. As well as, a/p and micro. Is this it? Should I have something more? Thanks!

I am interested in becoming an registered nurse and have already applied to a private hospital's nursing program. My gpa isn't the greatest at 2.24 but I have no less than a B in all math and sciences. That gpa by the way was a product of working full-time as well as taking care of my girlfriend and her parents. Both of her parents had cancer and I took care of their business during the day while going to school in the morning and working at night. I have done this for close to ten years and I screwed up a lot of classes except for all the pre-reqs. I wrote about my experiences in an essay required by that college, hoping that it will help. What do all of you think? What are my chances of being admitted? Any advice is welcome. Thanks.
