I gotta laugh or I will cry! Not only did I not get picked for nursing lottery, I am 85 on an alternate list of 89. Hahahahahahaha.
I was turned down last year on a different program because my grades are not fabulous enough-I have a 3.5/I am Also on two waiting lists that have hundreds of people ahead of me.
Is there other states where you can actually get into nursing school in a reasonable amount of time? I though there was a shortage here?
Here in California it is soooo frustrating! Love and Peace, Cindy

I don't know what to say but I had to respond to your thread. A 3.5 is great, many students really have less than that. Don't be discouraged, it's GOD's way of saying it's not time yet or he has something else better in mind. Just keep taking those pre-reqs and in time you will be accepted. Don't beat yourself up about it. It's the past! look to the future.
(but honestly, I would go to that school and curse them out-lottery is not fair)

Wow, that better be the #1 Nursing school in the country for you not to get accepted. Also consider your essay and interview as it's all considered one big package. YOu could go into a place with a 4.0 but if you had a crappy essay or an abnormal personality (don't we all?) you may have been skipped over.

I'm sorry. I hate that there are so many nurses who want to study but can't. Best of luck to you.

Don't give up like lilmama07 stated maybe that is not where you are destined to be at this particular time. I know in Atlanta you would not have a problem getting in most of our colleges with a 3.5 GPA what is your Math/Science GPA because that is what most schools look at?

That really sucks. Hang in there!
In my area, they only look at pre-req GPA, and it is so competive that it pretty much takes a 4.0 to get in.

Don't feel bad. I didn't get in either, this was my first go round. I plan to apply at a few more schools, which are further away, but may cut down on the wait. Don't give up, don't let it get you down.

Sometimes waiting on God's time is the hardest thing we will ever have to do. 3.5 is very good. I just wish so bad they didnt make things so hard. It puts so much undue stress on people. Something will work out. Dont give up.
