I am doing some nursing math homework and came across the following measure: gr ss
I know that gr (which is 60mg) stands for grain and ss stands for 1/2.
My question is, does gr ss stand for 1/2 grain (which would be 30 mg) or does it stand for a grain AND 1/2, which would be 90 mg?
I would really appreciate it...my book only lists gr and ss separately, but doesn't tell me what the two mean together.
THANKS!
