I would appreciate your opinions regarding shoes. I have worn New Balance shoes for about 15 years(preferred 606, but of course that style has been discontinued), have 3 new pairs of New Balance shoes in the closet that are too uncomfortable to wear. I think New Balance has changed the composition of the sole and toe, I work 12 hr shifts and rarely sit down by the end of the shift my feet hurt so bad I could cry. Any opinions regarding a good supportive shoe would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

I alternate between Dansko's and Reebok tennies, I keep a spare at work. I've found I go through a pair of Reebok crosstrainers 1-2 times a year. The Dansko's are comfortable but hard to run in and my low back hurts after awhile because they have a small lift to them. And I'm uncoordinated enough that I could break my ankle in them by just standing there.

Try the Zcoil. there was a thread on here about them not to long ago. I swear by them. I have 3 blown disc in my back and work L&D and they keep my back and feet from killing me. go to your search engine and type in Z- coil shoes and take a look at them.

I love them. I have the rubber ones, which are not very attractive. My biggest complaint is that my feet sweat. BUT, the cork insole forms to your foot and they are heaven. It took a week or 2 for the cork to form, where my feet still hurt. No more! Never since, and it has been 5 years since my 1st pair. . .I too used to want to cry after my shift b/c my feet/ankles/shins hurt. I have absolutely zero problems now, and I'm not a small girl.

I absolutely love Birkenstocks!! They are the most comfortable shoe that I have found to work in. They have a cork lining/sole, taht "molds" to your foot. SOOOO COMFORTABLE!!!

I had always used Birkenstock clogs at work, but have started using Dansko's. I am disappointed w/them and am shopping around for another pair of Birkies. I am now returning to work after being home w/my kiddos for four years and I can't seem to find them!

I looked at the website, talk about funky! But at this point I will try anything. We have only one place to buy them in our state. Is anyone interested in talking about prices for these?

I recently tried Timberland clogs and have fallen in love. After 3-4 shifts in a row my feet don't hurt at all. My feet do sweat, but at least I am comfortable. Great arch support on these shoes too. Found them on the clearance rack at DSW.
