Awe, I’m sorry. Keep your head up! Now you have practice interviewing so the next one you’ll nail!

Thank you. I had my Interview Dec 5 and was told that I should hear back after all internal applicants from all the new grad Departments finished. So if you interviewed for Grossmont I believe you should be hearing back very soon ? I don’t know if they only interviewed internal for the first round or if they are about to interview external now.

Yeah I got an email Monday from the manager that pretty much said they are still deliberating. So I’m just over here trying to be positive. ?? Whether it’s a yes or a no, this is a part of my nursing journey and I will not give up!

Hi, I also applied to the L&D new grad program (2nd choice was a Med/Surg unit). I graduated in May & have worked as an RN for almost 3 months. For those that applied to L&D, did you already complete the MNNC course? I'm enrolled and will complete the course in Feb. I'm hoping that doesn't eliminate me since I won't be completely finished until a few weeks after the program starts. Wishing luck to everyone ?

@Hope BHS BSN RN did you ever hear back for the L&D position? I am also doing the MNNC course but I was already rejected for the position.

Just an update. I received a job offer from SMH PCU the other day after completing reference checks! The offer is contingent on completing the background check, ect.

So if you've applied and interviewed for these units you should be hearing back soon if you haven't already. Good luck to everyone!

Hi guys! I have a few questions... Those of you who have been accepted into the program what exactly did you guys have in your portfolio? Like table of contents, letter of recommendations etc. At our school we have no yet been taught about what goes in and well I wanted your guys input. Was it an online portfolio? Or when you were asked for an interview.. you had them printed out? Thanks in advance

They asked to bring a physical copy of the portfolio to the actual interview. I included my cover letter, resume, letters of recommendation, employee references, degree, license, BLS/ACLS, nursing scholarships and past certifications from other healthcare positions that I've held (CNA, Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, etc)...pretty much in that order, I enclosed each document in a page protector and bound them inside a thin binder. I did not include a table of contents and kept the portfolio to maybe 10 to 12 documents total. Everyone is going to have a different portfolio and that is ok but it essentially includes professional documents related to your healthcare journey and the position you are applying for.
