Senario Help

Hello there everyone, I need some help with this senario.

Miss P has a acute bowel obstruction

Currently Nil By Mouth.

To have Hartmans Solution 1000mls over 6 hrs-followed by 1000ml dextrose/saline over 8 hrs.

0800 am IV Hartmans started.

1015 am Miss P vomits 200ml

1300 voids 120ml urine

1400hr 850ml drainage from naso-gastric bag is emptied.

What would be your nursing actions be with regards to Miss P's fluid balance status.

No actually this was not my nursing school homework-You jump to conclusions very quickly-I was asking for comments on the senario not a sermon-I guess you don't have the skills to give useful insight to my senario. How dare you say ""let use see-you speak only for yourself not other brighter nurse's on this site. :angryfire Very closed minded person. Nurse yeah right. Why did you bother to reply? I could have done without your comment. Hillbilly.

What is Hartman's solution??

Hartman's fluid replacement

What's in Hartmans solution?? I have never heard of it, and have been an RN for over 15 years. Interesting scenario, though...

Never heard of Hartmans. What's in it?

I would be curious about her labs, I would want to check her lung sounds, color of her urine, and look for any increase in edema or signs of third spacing. I'd be worried about her electrolytes.

Looked it up... Lactated Ringer's solution...

A person innocently misunderstands your intent for this post, (hey I thought the same as she, when I read your post), and you jump all over her and call her names and insult her every way you can think of? You say she is jumping to conclusions and then in the same breath say she has no skills? How dare you.

Just awful

visualize whirled peas...
