Self Study

Thinking of adding PT school nursing to my inpatient ob weekender role. Wondering about good resources for practice as a school RN to prepare for the role and reference for treatment. Certification not required but would consider in time if its a role I plan to stay in.

It's assessment skills and Momsense (or Dadsense) more than anything. Would you be subbing for multiple schools? Or is it a different kind of role you are looking at.

Thank you for responding.

1-2 schools, elementary or middle school options. Im a mom and a practicing nurse. No peds experience other than motherhood. Just wondering if there are any good nursing references out there for school rn guidelines that anyone utilizes.

Review allergy care, Epi pen; diabetic care; asthma care including inhalers, spacers, and nebulizers. Seizure care. Start there and rest is really best on the job.
