Seattle Central Fall 2015

Is anyone else applying to the Seattle Central ADN for Fall 2015? I'd love to start a topic for current applicants and encourage Seattle Central nursing students/alum to give some insight into the program. Thx!

I'm getting antsy... Anyone want to call the nursing department and check in? At least try to get a date when the emails are coming out?

I applied April 1st at 12:02p, and I am starting to get really nervous!!! Did anyone find out if they are emailing our student emails? I got my application confirmation in my personal email, so I would assume they'd send everything to that one. Good luck everyone! And please post if you've heard anything!

They will be emailing you at the email you provided in the application. If it was your personal email then they will email you to that one. I called the office to inquire about when we will be receiving the emails but it went straight to voice mail.

What I'm wondering about is they they never asked anywhere in the application to send in a copy of our CNA certification. Will they ask us for that only after we have been accepted? Most schools only require you to have it before the start of the program. They seems so disorganized in the nursing department. I've heard great things about the girls the in office in 2013 and 2014 but they have changed a lot of people around and everyone seems a bit confused.

Hey guys!!

Has anyone heard any news yet? I am anxiously waiting :)

I spoke with Kailey Calvert, the nursing coordinator and she said we will know end of May, early June. AHHH!! The waiting game continues! Good luck to everyone.

Oh my gosh, that feels like forever away! I heard from someone that it might take that long but I didn't want to believe it. :( I guess we have to stick it out a little longer. Thank you for emailing them!

Still waiting...:/ I can't take this much longer, I'm so anxious! Anyone hear anything yet? Also, is anyone planning on working through school? I might not have another option and I'm really nervous about that.

Still no answer from the nursing department, I tried calling today but got voice-mail. Has anyone actually received a confirmation on how the acceptance letters will be sent ?

I was hoping to hear something by now.. I plan to work per diem at my current job while attending school.

Hi, I still haven't heard anything either. I wish that there could be an update posted on the website for when they expect decisions to be made.

All responses about acceptance/ or rejection will be sent by email. It says so in the confirmation email you received once you sent in your application. They will not be mailing anything by snail mail. Nor will they be calling. Once I erase all the confidential info off my email I can post a copy of the confirmation response with it highlighting that all responses will be by email. I think it also mentions this on the website.

I think that you can work comfortably while in the program. I know a few people in the program currently who said that you can still live and breathe while in the program. They also work demanding jobs. One of them is at the top of their class. I believe it's all about balancing. I'll have 3 kids under 3 at the start of the program and I work a demanding job from home that I can't quit. I think it's all doable as long as you prioritize your responsibilities. The only problem you might encounter is time conflicts because there have been times where they inform you about clinicals a day or two in advance.
