School Handwashing Program

Soooo..I have been thinking we REALLY need to step up our hygiene efforts at school this year, Last winter was a nightmare with so much strep, stomach viruses, etc. I really try to reinforce handwashing, covering coughs, etc. but I don't think non medical people take it as seriously as we know to do.

My question is, do any of you use a specific educational program (highlighting hand hygiene) for your staff and students? If so, how do you like it?

Thanks in advance for any input.

I like the Henry the Hand Foundation.

Also, check with your local Health Department to see if they have free hand washing signs and posters you can put around the school.

Every year I send out the link to the YouTube video from the Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital on the "Dracula " cough. Very cute!
