SCC ADN Fall 2020

Hello!

Haven't seen a thread for Sac City's Fall 2020/Spring 2021 nursing application yet and thought I should create one. Good luck everyone! ?

I'm disappointed as knowing if I got in determines if I take more classes this Summer and fall. I have little children at home because of school closures and knowing I got in would allow me to spend the Summer and fall semesters focusing on my kids instead of unneccessary classes. Honestly though I'm sure the school has its reasons. I know they have a lot to figure out in a short amount of time. Just hoping they announce those accepted earlier than September. My SSC application hasn't been reviewed since early April but my ARC application is already marked as qualified which is before their June 1st deadline by quite a bit.

I'm right there with you. I have two small kids at home myself and would much rather focus on them than taking more classes. My understanding is that SCC doesn't change the status at all after the initial received status. And SCC sent an email that they will notify us around the 1st or second week of May, so we got that going for us! ? I'm just going to try to make the best of it and start proceeding with a backup plan, I guess? As you said, they have a lot to figure out too and I know their main concern right now is their current students (and understandably so).

Sac City just sent out notifications for VN-RN through Los Rios email so the regular RN notifications may come soon.

Thank you for the update!

I just checked the VN discussion board and it looks like they sent their notifications a few hours ago so maybe today we'll hear something!

OMG I hope so! Although I half feel like I'm nauseous from the anticipation ?

How did they do it before? I wonder how far apart the emails were last fall

I couldn't find a separate thread for LVN last year, but based on what some people posted on the RN thread it was the same day. There were a couple of people that applied to both and got into one, but not the other.

emails are out. I wasn't selected =(

I applied to the ADN RN program and got an acceptance email around 1:20 PM (PST). Hopefully you guys hear back from them soon!

Hi all!!

Just received an email from SCC regarding acceptance to Fall ‘20/Spring ‘21 and unfortunately was not randomly selected in the lottery. Just thought I’d let y’all know they’re starting to send out those emails!! Good luck to everyone waiting!

Thanks guys, I didn't get in either. CONGRATS to those who did!
