Saunders Or Kaplan???????????????

Published

Saunder review or kaplan? Wanted some input of what worked best for everyone as far as reviewing/studying for nclex-rn? Thanks

Hi there

I would have to say SAUNDERS COMP REVIEW,the book and cd is great, indepth and also easy to understand.

I took my nclex rn last week and passed with 75 questions.I also used the book PRIORITIZATION,DELEGATION AND ASSIGNMENT...helped with the questions in the nclex exam.

Best of luck!

Thank you. I ordered that book also so I'm glad to hear that its helpful. Thats the route I'm doing Saunders book and cd with prioritization, delegation, assignment book. Thanks for the input it helps to hear whats helping others. Congrats on passing. Hope I only get 75 questions too...here's hoping! thanks again.

Alright...in all honesty I didn't think the NCLEX was anything like Saunders... I thought the questions were EXACTLY like KAPLAN! I am glad that I took the course...just found out today I passed. I am glad I had the online question trainer through KAPLAN to help. I also did Saunders but found KAPLAN to be more helpful.

i studied kaplan online and bought saunders Q&A book and cd... hope to have a good result...

I used both and did very well on my boards when I took them last year. I have to say that Kaplan was more like the questions on the actual test. Good Luck.

I think those are both excellent but I'd like to suggest a THIRD alternative which I found quite helpful. The NCSBN (National Council) offers an online course which you can take in varying lengths. The 3 week course is only $49! The material is excellent and they have an additional 18 quizzes with immediate feedback on answers (that is in addition to the quizzes at the end of each section of material). I believe these are the people who actually write the NCLEX questions so I felt much more confident after using their program. On the NCLEX I also found the Kaplan strategies useful for questions which I had no clue on. The website is NCSBN.org
