Sanford Relocation Help!

U.S.A. North Dakota

Published

Hi all,

I'm a new grad from Southern California that is preparing to relocate to Fargo for a RN job at Sanford. Just wondering what your guys' opinion is on some things:

-Should I drive my car up to Fargo?

-If so, does ND require me to change license plates?

-Best apartment areas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi RNCali, i too am moving to ND to begin at sanford health in march. I am moving from Florida so quite a big move and change. I sold my car recently so i may have to rely on the bus system for awhile until i can get another car. I have been checking out apts. as close to the hospital as possible so commuting would be easier. From what i have been reading it seems the downtown area is a bit more hip and fun and you can pretty much walk to everything. Once your outside the city everything is usually between a 10-20 min commute. I am flying up on thursday to look at places and tour the city and hospital. will let you know how it goes.....ttyl;)

I'm happy to see people who are making the move to Fargo!! I would love to hear any advice on how you guys plan to move up there as well. I'm from South Florida and plan to relocate to Fargo in April. Is the interview process difficult? Was it hard to endorse your License to ND? Please feel free to share any advice/tips about the whole process. Thanks!!!

Interview process wasn't difficult. They do phone or Skype interviews depending on the unit. Endorsing hasn't been difficult either, just time consuming, and money consuming. All the steps are on the ND BON website, and you can always call them and ask them questions.

@DeebeeRN98 Cool! Would love to hear what you think about the area.
