Sac State Nursing for Fall 2018- NEW CRITERIA

Hey everyone! I am starting a new thread for the students applying for FALL 2018. I decided to apply for this coming fall 2018 instead of the previous (spring 2018). I wanted to finish my bio prereqs first. Anyone else here applying for Fall 2018 at Sac State? If so, what will be your new calculated points? gpa?

I am also curious about this! Since the new criteria has maximum 100 points I am curious how low (if it does) the cutoff points will go. For the past several years it has been around 75-78.

I will actually be applying for the Spring 2019 semester, but I'll post my stats here anyway.

TEAS 95

Have taken it twice with a 78 last time (I admit I crammed studied, won't do that again), I will have one more chance to take it and ideally I am aiming for a 95.

GPA: 3.88

I am repeating 3 classes, in the end I will have a 3.88 GPA.

Optional Criteria: 12 points.

Total (ideal!) Points: 80

That's awesome!

I know how you feel. I'm curious what the point cut off will be like.

Hey there! I am applying for Fall 2018 with 80 points.

adjusted GPA is 4.0

non-adjusted is 3.91

teas 93.3

8 extra criteria points

hopeful! 🤞🏼 But after the crazy point jump from fall 2017 to spring 2018, I don't know how to feel! 😬

Hey this is my first ever post!

Unadjusted GPA 4.0

TEAS: 90.7 I'm taking my second attempt on Thursday, so I'll update if I do better or worse.

Total: 77 - 81

Optional points: 8-12

Health experience 100 hours

First Generation (My parents didn't go to college in the US. I was told that it counts, but just in case, I'm going to count it as a maybe)

Environmental Background

If you looked at the point cutoff for Spring 2018, there is a large increase in average TEAS scores which makes me kind of nervous :/

Hi everyone!

Here are my stats so far.

Adjusted GPA:

if 2 grades omitted- 4.0 (50 pts)

all grades included with microbiology in progress- 3.917 (45 pts)

Teas: 84.3% (11pts) I will probably retake it lol

Optional: I believe I qualify for 4/5 options (16 pts)

If I choose to omit the two grades I will have 77 points but if not, I will have 72.

Hopefully retaking the teas well help boost my points.

Hey guys,

Im applying with 83 points.

GPA: 4.0

Teas: 88.0%

Extra Criteria: 4/5 met

Update:

Adjusted: 4.0 (50pts)

Non: 3.917

Teas: 86% (14pts)

Optional Criteria: 4/5 (16pts)

Total: 80 points

Good luck everyone!

Hey, guys!

Like mamakitty94, I'm not applying until SP19 but I have been keeping an eye on the threads to see where I sit. Tough break for the Spring '18 group, I would have been heartbroken. I wish the Fall applicants better luck... we'll see how it goes with the new criteria, I guess. Fingers crossed for you all!!!

Adjusted GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 92.0%

Extra criteria: +8 points

Total: 80 points

I am probably going to retake my TEAS... that's a decent score, but I don't feel it's quite competitive enough. Especially since I'm seeing others get more points in the Optional Criteria section.

Hi! I applied with 83 points

Adjusted GPA: 4.0

Non-Adjusted: 3.89

TEAS: 91.3%

Optional: 12 pts

Goodluck to everyone! :)

Hi,

I applied with 83 points also! :)

When do you guys think we will hear back from Terri? I'm so nervous!

Hey guys! First semester sac state nursing student here. You'll hear back from Teri roughly a month after the application period closes. Best of luck to you all!
