Rush GEM Summer 2015

Hey!

I received an email a couple months ago saying that i am offered an interview for the summer 2015 GEM program! Molly said the interview's will take place in February. Has anyone else heard?

Hi! I also recently got an email about an interview invite after the application deadline which is Dec 1st 2014 I believe. I'm nervous! Anyone who has been admitted already have any advice on how to prepare? Thanks!

Just be yourself. The interview is more of a conversation than an interview. They are just trying to make sure you are a good fit for Rush and for a career in nursing. So come armed with questions for your interviewer and be able to tell them why you want to be a nurse and go to Rush. Everyone has a different story! Be able to talk about the path that led you here. The interviewer asks specific questions but they're really just designed to get you talking about your own experiences and how/why you have decided to pursue nursing. Thanks. I have a few questions if we are selected does tuition cover living situation.... and who is eligible for loans for GEM program? I received loans for my undergrad degree will I be able to for masters?

Do you have to have excellent credit to be eligible. Not that mind is bad

Im pretty sure tuition does not cover living. We need to figure that out on our way. Luckily there are many options. And for RUSH, i read somewhere to fill out the FAFSA where you can get loans offered there or you can get loans from a bank or somewhere else private. Hopefully that somewhat helps you out.
