I received confirmation for my interview at Rush a week or so ago, and I was just wondering if anyone has any advice or insight they would like to offer. Thanks so much :)
PS Any other GEM applicants out there?

I am gearing up my application currently for Jan 2009. Hopefully I will be joining you!
How did your interview go?
The interview is in a few weeks. I'm aiming to start Jan. 2009. I think the deadline for winter 09 applicants was July 1st, no?
Unfortunately it was. That is what happens when you have to gather a zillion transcripts. So June 2009 app season here I come.
:)
You will have to tell me about it and how it went. Interviews make me

I had my interview on August 27th for January start. They said I should hear something in about 2 weeks (it's been 2 weeks today...) Interview went very well, and they suggested that since I was there, that I go speak with Financial Aid to get an idea on how stuff works (Hope that's a good sign!) Will let you know how it turns out.

They told me 3-4 weeks and I heard back in about 5 days. I also received an email about finaid but have yet to hear about my package ...
Good luck to you, hopefully we shall meet in Jan!
Ditto! That means I got in! Lol. What day of the month was your interview... and did you get a letter or call?? They said that they meet with the board at the beginning of the month to discuss applicants, and that was 9 days ago
I realize I am sounding impatient, but January is coming up quick!
Thanks!
This was over a month ago so my memory is a bit hazy...I think my interview was on a Tuesday or Wednesday and they said the committee met on Friday. I heard back early that next week. I don't want to panic you, but maybe as more seats get filled it takes longer to deliberate about acceptance. If you don't hear back within the next couple of days give them a call and see what's up.
Just received my letter/packet yesterday. I guess I will see you at orientation!!

Congrats! Now if only they would tell me my finaid so I can figure out how I'm gonna pay for school...
I hear ya. I am waiting for their "follow-up" packet to see exactly how much it is going to cost. I read that Chase Bank has some good loans specifically for the medical field.
Did you apply for any scholarships?

How long was the period between submitting your application and finding out about interviews? I just submitted my application today (so, clearly, I wasn't early decision) but there's no info anywhere about that
thanks all!
