NURS 103 (bridge to nursing) should be taken in the summer quarter after acceptance into the program.....and they still don't have any final decision. I just wonder why it takes them all this long time

I stopped by the registration office today and they said in the pass it took them 4 to 6 weeks before they start calling people.... why sooooo long??? I don't know... she said to be patience (easy for her to say) manoucha~ do you have any backup plan? I was thinking about applying to north seattle.. their winter program application starts in July.

Well, I haven't applied anywhere except RTC. North Seattle is one of the best colleges in WA. It's a good idea to apply there if you want to get your LPN license first esp from an accredited program.

Ideally, I would like to get into full RN program but this is 2nd school I applied and I just cant wait forever for full RN program...

Hey manoucha.... just fyi, I just talked to Stacy Hamilton at RTC (until last quarter, she was with selection committee)

she was told by Allied Health Dept. they might contact student by RTC email rather than calling.. so go to RTC web under student svc and set up your email if you haven't done so... *** what if I didn't call and talked to Stacy??

Talked to Allied Health Dept. selection has been made and notification will be sent via email or mail beginning of next week....

Oh really ?? I haven't received any email yet from RTC. Thank you for this information !!! Yeah, let's keep our fingers crossed. Hope to hear back by next week.

From what I understand its lottery....

I guess first they go through all applications and take all qualified applications to lottery system.

Julie at Allied Health said, they will send out a email by first part of next week.

That's what I was told too. It's a random lottery.

Can't wait to know if I got in or not. Hope to hear back on Monday.

I've almost forgotten that this week is a non-work day for faculty. I wonder why they told you that they are going to email us by the begining of this week. It says on the academic calendar, June 30 and July 1-4 2014 are Non-work days for faculty. Here's the link :
