What do all y’all do if a resident has RSV? My facility seems to be making a huge deal about something that isn’t much worse than the common cold.

Although more commonly associated with infants and young children, RSV is more of problem in the elderly than most realize.

RSV isn’t a big deal? As the mom of a preemie RSV is one of my worst nightmares. Glad to hear your facility is treating it accordingly.

We put them on droplet precautions. The issue I’m finding is that no one knows when to take them off precautions. Our MD reswabs once they’re asymptomatic, but many of those swabs still come back positive
