Romance?

This is just a random thought. I thought this would be the best place to get some feedback.

Has there ever been a case where a nurse falls in love with the patient she cares for? And if so, is this wrong or against any kind of policy?

Sorry for the randomness of the question. Thanks for your replies in advance!

Check with your BON. Most have rules against developing a personal relationship with a client.

I was watching a movie yesterday where the nurse falls in love with this patient that continually asks her out. (Yes, I'm very much aware that it's just a movie and full of fiction. Haha.) But it got me wondering.

:yeah:

One of my favorite movies is AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON. It makes for a great story line (Pearl hourbor, the Flying Tigers, Ernest Hemmingway's.... can't think of it now) but is not "recomended". Maybe it's like STOCKHOLD syndrome?

My God though... I got some stories from when I was a patient in Shriners and the CNA's gave us kids some lessons in life!

And when has love and common sense been able to co-exist? Falling in love usually throws caution & commmon sense to the wind. That's why it's such a powerful force, attraction, lust and eventually love.

We are not robots, we are people and subject to emotions and mistakes. However, it's not a good idea to use a hospital as a screening facility for your dates! Unless they are very sick... and very rich! That's a joke.
