RNAC

Published

I have been a RN since 2008. I worked in med/surg for 18months and have been a home health case manager for 2 years. Is this enough exp?

Specializes in MDS/ UR.

If you want to be an RNAC get the certification and see if someone will hire you.

Specializes in Care Coordination, MDS, med-surg, Peds.

Good experience, but I thnk you need LTC experience as well. You need to have a good understanding of medicare and medicaid, as well as the RAI manual which you can download online at the CMS website and study. Perhaps work as Charge nurse at an LTC for awhile then move to a MDS position? I would not suggest doing MDS without LTC experience.. JMO
