I have an Rn degree but failed rn nclex. Can i do lpn nclex exam? Until i find a job and then can do an rn nclex exam ?

Depends on your bon? Why not rewrite the Rn nclex?

Generally speaking, no in most states. To get an accurate response contact your BoN. NCLex -PN is not easier or a consolation prize. Often it's more difficult as you weren't trained to the lpn standard but to the RN.

My license is not your consolation prize.

Exactly! LPN is not a consilation prize. Walk a decade or two in my shoes.

I don't believe the OP was putting down LPNs. I think she is looking to work while she sorts out what to do about failing the NCLEX-RN.

Regardless LPN is not RN-light. Most who failNCLEX-RN that find a loophole to take NCLEX-PN fail partly due to not being trained as an LPN and not knowing the difference. She's wanting to attempt PN as a consolation to failing the RN, it doesn't work that way.
