I have a fire safety card already so I called and asked if I still have to attend the May 3rd training. She said to just bring the card in during the first meeting to show proof. Just FYI in case you have one too!

That's what she told me when I called on Thursday! It's the blue fire safety card. She said that we just have to show it to her at the meeting this Friday and she'll cross our names off the list for the may 3rd meeting ?

I used the number on the contact info page of the nursing website!

I was accepted! Received an email first, then a letter 3 days later. Good luck everybody.

I did everything at Rio including my assessment and all my prerequisites and science. I even too my TEAS there, so no I dont think it's because of that, I just haven't heard anything no rejection email or acceptance letter has came.

The process actually wasn't all that bad. The deadline just was alot earlier than all other schools. I'm not sure if 40% is the minimum but even if it were I doubt that would be a competitive enough score to get in. I had an 80% on my teas. This year they didn't go by a point system, they said they did a full comprehensive review of all applicants. I think this worked in my favor because I have a bad transcript from like 5 years ago that brought my cumulative gpa from a 4.0 to a 2.9 so my points in that area wouldnt have been so high. . . but definitely apply! They accept 70ppl a year apposed to what most schools take (about 40) so your chances are a bit better. I wish you all the best ?

Thank you for the information! Did you apply to the basic BSN program or LVN-BSN at Cal State LA? I definitely will look into applying if I don't hear back from the other schools by this October.
