just self study. review doesn't really help you, they just guide you

Hurst, Saunders, NCLEX 4000, and Lacharity PDA

Thanks Everyone for input!!

in my opinion, you have to self study even if doing a review,. the reviews guide you as to what you need to study, and know for the test.. you said you failed 3 times already, how were you studying back then? change the way you study know, so you won't make the mistakes you were doing 3 years ago..

I can relate. I've failed NCLEX-PN twice, and now I'm on my third trial. I've been out of school for almost 2 years, but I've been using a combination of Hurst for content only and Kaplan's Qbank. Hurst is great and really refreshes on you material I feel like you need to know to tackle any question NCLEX may throw at you. I've asked around from other people on whether or not they feel as if Hurst was enough and every time they've said yes. I feel like Kaplan's Qbank closely resembled NCLEX as well because they really ask questions at the application/analysis level rather than at the recall/recognition level. However, I will also say that if you must use Saunders, it's great for alternate format questions specifically SATA.

Hope this helps. Good luck studying and God bless. I know you will conquer the exam next time! :)

For me I have also been out of school for 2 years. I have taken the nclex-pn once but I failed a few weeks ago. Now what I been doing is I change the way I am review . I am mostly doing questions over questions , looking over all my question the ones I get right why, and the wrongs I get wrong why. I knew mostly everything on the test but I was not sure what nclex was asking. Mostly all questions were base on safety. Here is a good website

this help me understand better.
