rets tech

Hi Ohio,

I was just accepted into the rets tech LPN program today, then of course, I will continue in the fast track and go into the RN program. I will be starting april 23rd, is anyone else beginning at the same time?

Well, I know they are still making changes because they are still in the beginning stages. I see positive changes for the classes behind me. They actually get some experience that weren't available to my class, but thats how things go. I believe that if they stop making excuses for those sliding through the cracks that things will be better for their reputation. All I know is that it's almost over and I need to pass boards so I scheduled my own NCLEX-RN review with Mark Klimek with half of my class. LOL!

just wondering, how can teachers (especially a and p) allow students to slide through. Honestly I am just curious. If the grades aren't there then the grades aren't there....right? Or do they give them extra credit or something?:angryfire Just wondering.

Well I wondered that same thing but I have watched a select few in my class pass when they should've failed. I only know this because they talk about how they made it and shouldn't have. Then there are others who were failed for less than half a point!!! Explain that. LOL! I just wonder what the REALLY did for extra credit?!

Isn't THAT the truth! ;) Oh well, I'm graduating in a few short weeks anyways! A good thing happening this week is the central line lab check-offs. I was starting to get kinda nervous about that!

Hey?! I think we are in the same class??? But I still don't know who you are. Hmmmmmmmm! LOL

LOL! Guess who? I'll give you a hint. Who in your class would most likely remember that an MSA plate is selective and differential for Staphylococcus spp. AND how so?

HI!!!!! LOL!

Shelllloooo!

hello, rets afiliates i am in my first symester in cuyahoga falls, ohio. we are worried about the accreditation or lack of . my current employer will not give me an rn job b/c rets is not nln accrediated anyone with any solutions and did anyone transfer in any courses?

ohio concerned.

missy1972, congrates on starting the program. do you know anyone who graduated from rets? what did they quote as a fee?

Monday the 2nd Rets got there accredidation. I don't think you can judge the school on how many people fail their boards ( 16 out of 40) because Rets goes ahead and lets ALOT of people slide through the program that really are not passing. They give too much extra credit so these people who are failing can pass. I get A's and B's without the extra credit and attend all of my classes. I dont skip school just b/c I want to sleep in. I think that needs to be considered. I do agree with you that there is alot of chaos and staff turn over, but you only get out what you put into the program.

accredidation yes/ spellers no
