US is under retorgression no visas. Don't expect any for many years.

You can only convert from H1b to GC and seeing as that is under retrogression you may find H1b visa expires before you can adjust visa and have to leave the US.

First, even with any of the H1-B visas, there is no such thing as an immediate visa being issued. You must also possess a license specifically for the state where the job is as well as a Visa Screen Certificate before one can even be submitted. Most H1-B visas are capped visas and they can only be applied for in April for a start date the following the October.
Next big caveat is that they require the full BSN at the minimum to qualify for this type of visa. The three year training in the UK does not meet this requirement as a start.
Now what else have they promised? Also remember that any temporary visa is just that and be cancelled at anytime by the employer as well as the US government.

wow but its the reality no visa for the next seven years or more:smokin:
Take the time to do some reading on this site, this is the point that we are trying to make. There is a limit as to the number of visas that are even available per year and this is based on country of birth.
India is currently retrogresses to 2001/2002 and that is for those that are already in the processing line. For other countries the date is later but there are also many more that are also applying and the number of visas has not increased.
Much as been written on this topic.

OK, are you talking about the end of 2008? Heck, people who live here don't often get hired and start working that fast, especially in December.
You can't "go through Canada" to get to the US. We are not a stepping stone and many employers are fed up of this happening to them.
You need to want to live here to enjoy and learn from your time here.

just heard in Canada also not hiring foreign nurses now a days.
Depends on the province, some may have a shortage and other may not be as bad. Even if applying to work you are looking at approx 8-12 months to go through the process and start working. Longer if you decide to sit CRNE before you start the process
hi.. i intend to work and live in Canada given that the retrogression of the US. i know its hard to go to canada. but i am still looking for an agency that can help me with these.
Take some time to read the threads, there are a few on Canada and you can easily do it without using an agency
