So i just recently talked over with my professor and decided i needed to repeat the block due to my test scores. I feel so bummed out we only had a month left in the semester. I do have the option to go back in the summer but id rather study for the summer and take the block over again in fall! As anyone been in my position? Do you know anyone that has failed a block but still made it and passed nursing school? Im so bummed out but i know i can do way better if i put in all in! i just brought the Sauders Nclex review book so im def gonna get started asap on that. thanks for any remarks or words of wisdom!!

There are loads of people who fail a block and go on to pass nursing school and become successful nurses. Study up; you can do it!
Thank you for the fine words. I hope that is the case. Im just pretty bummed out that i have to repeat. I wont start until august so i have more than enough time to review what i messed up on.

From what I hear this is pretty common for all Blocks. As well you know from getting as far as you have, this is not an easy road to travel. I really wouldn't be too upset with yourself.

I was in the Maricopa program and I failed Block 4. I just wasn't grasping the material. I passed 1, 2, and 3 with either As/Bs but Block 4 I was struggling the whole time. I failed by 0.2 percent. I ended up taking the summer off. Consulted with my doc about why I was having so much trouble. I was so tired, had a foggy mind, was experience heart palpitations. It turns out I was pretty anemic. I had a Hgb of 8. I spent the summer taking iron supplements and bringing my level back up, I also reviewed LaCharity, Saunders, and used UWorld. It was the best thing I did. I went back last Fall and passed Block 4 with an A!! I passed NCLEX and am now working on a Tele/PCU floor. It's possible. Don't get discouraged. Many of my classmates couldn't believe I failed - after passing all other Blocks so easily. I was embarrassed, but you know what, I wasn't the only one, and I went back determined to pass. That's what matters.
