I traveled to Reno several years ago and wouldn't worry too much about the housing. They were constantly builiding and most places are quite nice. You won't find better recreational areas and some of the nicest people where there.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. relieved.

Most everything around Robb Dr is a great neighborhood! I live in the same general area, and there's lots of grocery shopping (Wal-Mart, Albertson's, Raley's, Safeway, Scolari's) and good places to eat (Chili's, Flowing Tide Pub, Hacienda, along with all the fast food places you'd ever want). I read in one of your posts that you're driving here, which is good, because Robb Dr. isn't within walking distance to Washoe Med. Personally, I wouldn't want to live close to Washoe Med...busy streets, older neighborhoods, etc. You should like it just fine, you're going to be living in one of the nicer places in town.

A good tip for Reno...McCarran Blvd makes one big circle around the city...so if you're ever lost, but can find McCarran, keep following it (either way) until you find MaeAnne, and MaeAnne runs right to Robb Dr.

I posted to you in another thread too. I'll be starting at Washoe in the ER Sept. 11! Most likely will be at Manzanita Gate too per recruiter. I can't wait. I'm from Tampa, FL, so it will be a big change! I've lived here my whole life and have never left! It should be interesting!
